Clue® Gateway
The gateway to searching Clue®2 data securely - from any location, without the need to install client software on users' machines*
Clue® Gateway is a web-based application which enables you to search any Clue®2 database securely from any location. This is without the need to install client software on users' machines - only a web browser is required. Clue® Gateway provides the powerful search capabilities of Clue®2's Quick Search and Split Search but in a web-based environment.
Clue® Gateway provides significant benefits, including:
- Letting administrators make Clue®2 data accessible on any machine with a web browser - in a secure and controlled way, i.e. there is no need to set up client software on each user's machine.
- Working in Internet Explorer 7.0 and Firefox 2.0, on Windows, Linux, or other operating systems.
- Using the powerful Clue®2 search engine to:
- Perform extensive free-text searches within seconds with Quick Search and/or Split Search.
- Run simple searches, e.g. searching for any word, synonym, or part word.
- Run complex searches, e.g. searching for multiple combinations of search terms.
- Search against a single Resource or against many Resources simultaneously.
- Search against a single Clue®2 database or against many Clue®2 databases simultaneously (as long as an electronic means of communication can be made to them).
- Search using a set of pre-defined Resources and databases (classified as Search Ranges).
*Supported web browser required.
