NOTE: Clue® Checkpoint is available with the Clue®2 Standard client only.
The Clue® Checkpoint Immigration system caters for the following:
Clue® Checkpoint was initially designed to monitor the movements of travellers entering and leaving the island of Antigua. Clue® Checkpoint also deals with tourist department statistics, applications for work permits and extensions, and links to a separate intelligence database under the control of the Immigration Department. The system can automatically identify, at points of entry and departure, circulated persons who are suspected or wanted on drug trafficking or other matters.
Clue® Checkpoint has been used in Antigua for over four years, to process travellers and their details rapidly and effectively.
Access to the system for all persons is via an encryption system with password control by individuals or groups. Tourist statistics can be produced in real-time, with the tourist board staff only having access to non-sensitive pre-defined data.
The system has been specifically designed for countries that would not normally be in a position to afford such sophistication; we are not aware of any other Immigration systems that contain all these features.
Note: Persons travelling in Groups are catered for specifically.
Clue® Checkpoint enables the capture of the following information:
Clue® Checkpoint deals with all details of Requests for Extensions and Work Permits, and displays details of Overstayers. If required, complex searches can be undertaken within seconds throughout all fields.
When travellers leave the country their departure is registered within 12 seconds, using Clue® Checkpoint to scan the passports.
Statistics are available for view or print, in real-time, to show the number of passenger Arrivals, Departures, or Movements. Also available are statistical breakdowns by Passenger, Age, Airline, Purpose of Visit and Port of Embarkation.
The passport of every person passing through the Immigration Channel is machine read. Clue® Checkpoint checks the passport code and will immediately detect and warn of suspect forged passports. At the same time the passport data is compared with an intelligence database and an alert is raised if the person entering the country is known to the intelligence system. The entire process, including saving and indexing the passengers' data, can be completed in about 35 seconds.
As currently used, the Intelligence database input is supervised only by specified Immigration Intelligence Officers with controlled password access, but our secure password control system allows that function to be undertaken by a separate department if necessary. The Intelligence database is independent of but linked to the Immigration Nominals system. Details of persons who are sought by any country, the reason for which they are sought (not necessarily criminal), and the persons and organisation seeking them, are recorded so that whenever such a person passes through Immigration Control, a visual display informs the gate office that an Intelligence file exists and displays pre-determined instructions.
The information herein relates to the checking of passports but the system can also be adapted for use with other identification documents.
