Clue®2 celebrates 20 years of providing investigative solutions

2007 marks the 20th anniversary of BOM first providing Clue investigation systems, with the South West Regional Crime Squad being BOM's first Clue customer. Clue was the first free text relational database and BOM continue to push the boundaries of technology by embracing Microsoft flagship .NET environment, maintaining BOM's technical advantage. The Clue®2 investigation systems include a suite of modules currently used by over half the police forces in the UK (including the Metropolitan Police), several criminal justice agencies, and a number of overseas police and other authorities. The Government has implemented Clue®2 at the Gangmasters Licensing Authority (GLA), where it will make a major contribution to the process of identifying and prosecuting unlicensed Gangmasters. In addition, Bristol Trading Standards has completed a pilot project where an adapted version of Clue®2 performs standard criminal and financial investigation work.
